Oil Pump Retainer Use this fitting to hold the oil pump in place when removing or installing the oil pan. Threads in where the slotted pipe thread plug goes on the side of the block between the oil pan and the valve cover in the center. After installed, you thread the bolt in the center of the fitting against the oil pump so it will not fall. Thread it in but not to tight or you will damage the oil pump casing. Made in the U.S.A.
